Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase and use of the digital guides, playbooks and related downloadable content (the “Guides”) made available at www.hotseat.online (the “Service”).

The Service is operated by HOTSEAT AGENCY (PTY) LTD, a company registered in South Africa with its registered address at 14 Darling Street, Cape Town, 8001, Western Cape, South Africa. By purchasing or accessing a Guide you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Guides are downloadable PDF documents. They are informational and educational in nature and are provided “as is”.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd (Judd House, 18-29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom) and its affiliates (together, “Paddle”). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and is responsible for taking payment, handling invoicing, applicable sales tax / VAT, currency conversion, chargebacks and billing-related customer support. By purchasing you also agree to Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.

Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are calculated by Paddle at checkout based on your billing location and shown before you confirm the order.

Guides are delivered digitally. Immediately after your payment is confirmed you will receive an email containing a secure download link for the Guide you purchased. Download links are valid for 24 hours; if the link expires, email guides@hotseat.online and we will reissue it at no cost.

You expressly request that we begin delivering the Guide immediately after your order is confirmed and you acknowledge that, once download of the Guide has started, you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or “cooling-off” period that would otherwise apply to distance sales of digital content (including under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee described in the Refund Policy still applies in addition to any non-waivable statutory rights.

Subject to your payment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and use the Guide for your own personal or internal business use (up to 10 people in a single organisation). You may not:

• resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish the Guide or any substantial extract from it;
• upload the Guide to any file-sharing, torrent, AI-training or public repository;
• remove or alter any copyright, trademark or attribution notices contained in the Guide.

All intellectual-property rights in the Guides remain with HOTSEAT AGENCY (PTY) LTD.

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to submit false or misleading order or payment information, to attempt to bypass our download or access controls, or to abuse our refund process. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a material breach of these Terms.

Guides are provided for general information and educational purposes only and do not constitute professional, legal, financial, tax or investment advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HOTSEAT AGENCY (PTY) LTD’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the Guide in question. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of the protection of any mandatory rules of the country in which they are habitually resident.
